Issue Rationale for bid to be awarded as required per FS 287, DOE 6A-1.012 and School Board Policy 

a.  Metal Door Replacement County-Wide Bid #14-MA-308 – Bid established to purchase labor, materials and equipment to retrofit and replace metal doors in existing jambs at a firm fixed price.  Contract Period:  April 18, 2014 through April 21, 2016.  Nine (9) bids solicited plus listed on our web site for down load, one (1) bid received.  The vendor awarded is the only responsive qualified bidder meeting specifications.  This is a reasonable award due to the fact item pricing remained the same as last Bid which vendor held for five (5) years.  New item pricing was lower when compared to other manufacture distributors.
